Posting Date: February 1, 2010 Position to be filled: Youth Program Assistant The GEMS program is currently seeking a high energy, team player for a Youth Program Assistant. The Assistant is responsible for planning, coordinating and conducting activities and special events that meet the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of children. Responsibilities also include assisting the Program Director in the planning and development of youth activities for Peer Educators, including educational workshops and social activities. The Assistant reports to the Program Director, who provides guidance on the scope of assignments and assistance on the more complex, non-routine problems encountered. The ideal candidate must be customer service oriented, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to create a team environment. Proficiency in Spanish (verbal and written) as well as two or more years of experience in youth planning and program implementation is essential. Posting Date: October 14, 2009 Position to be filled: Instructor/Lifeguard The Aquatics Program is recruiting dedicated and responsible candidate to fill the following position: Swim instructor/lifeguard to work with all age groups including parent tot classes, preschool, elementary age, and adults. Day and night shift (varying hours per day) from Friday to Tuesday including Saturday & Sunday. Fall session dates are 9/14-1/31/09. Posting Date: July 28, 2009 Position to be filled: Aquatics Staff The Aquatics Program is recruiting dedicated and responsible candidates to fill the following positions: Lifeguards: Shifts available between 6:00am and 10:00pm Monday-Friday and 9:00am - 5:30pm Saturday and Sunday. Must have current certs to apply.
Children’s/Youth Program Instructors: Weekday Afternoon and Weekend. Morning & Afternoon shifts . WSI NOT required – but preferred. We train ALL instructors. Classes ages 6mos and up.
Adult Program Instructors: Early morning, mid-afternoon and late evening classes include beginner, water orientation, and master’s training. Fall Session starts Sept. 11 and continues through Jan. 31st. Instructors are required to commit to teaching for the entire session.
