Funtastic Friday!

The YWCA Gymnastics Department is hosting this Friday night event. Kids will have a great time and parents can have a night for themselves. For girls and boys ages 6 - 12. USAG waiver must be signed by parent in order to participate. Admission includes: pizza party, snacks, gymnastics games, special themes and activities.
Cost: $35/ first child and $25/ 2nd and 3rd child in same family.
This event will close out, so sign up early!

Dads are Parents Too!

Let’s hear it for the Dads! Fathers bring valuable perspectives to the process of raising children, but sometimes this seems at odds with how moms view child rearing. DADs and MOMs are invited to attend this discussion on children’s development led by Todd Mohrmann of Dynamic Training, Inc. Dynamic Training Inc. delivers workshops for a wide variety of public and non-profit agencies, with extensive work in the area of childhood education.

Women & Sports: Making the Transition to College Athletics

Join Shawn Ladda, Manhattan College Professor of Physcial Education and Human Performance, in a discussion on the challenges for young women on college athletic teams. Professor Ladda is President of the National Association for Girls and Women in Sports, a leading organization for equity in sports - championing equal funding, quality and respect for girls and women in sports.
Discussions with student athletes and college coaches.
