Vacation Days at YWCA Gymnastics!
Sign up for one or more days! December 26-28, 2012; February 18-22, 2-13 and March 25-29, 2013. Hours: 12:00pm - 3:00pm. $45/day. Ages 5 & Up. Co-Ed.

Come celebrate your birthday with the YWCA Gymnastics Department.
One hour of gym time, 30 minutes for cake and refreshments.  Open Slots:  Sundays

Program Highlights
Our facilities include a newly renovated 8,000-square-foot, air-conditioned gymnasium with spring floor, trampoline, BAB system and 40-foot Tumbletrack. The program stresses safety and fun with opportunities for all ages to participate in YWCA League and USA Gymnastics Federation sponsored events. Waiver required for all gym programs. No make-up for missed classes.

Open registration for new participants begins in mid-June (for the Fall Session) and early January (for the Winter/Spring Session) and will remain open until all spaces are filled.
Registration for the Developmental Groups, YW Starz, Talent Group, and Hot Shots opens mid- August. Please call for details and registration forms. These groups are by invitation only - see below.

Registration for all Teams will take place after Labor Day. This includes: Pre Team and Levels 4-9


>Parent & Tot and Pre-school Gymnastics
Coed, ages 2-4
Children learn the basics of movement, group dynamics and beginning gymnastics.
Parent/Tot ratio: 7:1  Pre-school ratio: 5:1

Dress Code and Age Requirements
Dress in sweats, shorts, T-shirt or leotard. Bare feet, hair tied up, no jewelry. Birth certificates required for proof of age for all  2- and 3-year old groups.

Children’s Gymnastics (Coed)
For girls and boys 4 years and up. Ratio 7:1. 

Class Guide

Beginner
0-6 months experience and new program participants. Able to perform forward roll, back roll, bridge, cartwheel.

Intermediate
Able to perform handstand forward roll, back hip circle, pullover.

Advanced
Able to perform back walkover, round off, mill circle, back handspring (with light spot), front walkover.

YW Starz, for girls ages 7-11, 2-hour intensive class by invitation only. Practice skills are beyond the scope of general recreation classes. Must exhibit strength, flexibility, dedication and focus.

Talent Group- Advanced coed group for ages 11 and older. By invitation only. Students are selected based on specific criteria. Qualities required are strength and flexibility, dedication and focus. Coaches will challenge, motivate and inspire the students to a higher level of gymnastics.

Teen Gymnastics (Coed) For ages 10+

Siblings and Friends (Coed, for ages 6+)
For your convenience when registering multiples, a skill level evaluation on the first day ensures proper placement by age and ability. Lessons follow standard format thereafter.
Girls Dress Code: Leotard/ bare feet/ hair tied up/ no jewelry.

Gymnastics Team - Tumblettes
Team gymnastics is offered for girls ages 6 and up; Pre-team and Levels 4-9. Membership is by invitation from Head Coach.  Gymnasts compete in USAG Compulsory and Optional competitions throughout New York State. (Fees are for one school year: September - June. There is no credit given for missed practices.)


Please be sure to obtain correct gymnastics registration forms from the front desk or the gym office. USAG waiver required for all gym programs. No make-ups for missed gymnastics classes. Classes canceled due to inclement weather are not automatically scheduled for make-ups or issued credit to participant.
