The YWCA has offered a dynamic program of developmentally appropriate activities for preschoolers since 1966. For the two-year-old, there are two, three and five day morning programs. For the three, four and five year old, we offer morning and afternoon programming. All children participate in activities which support social interaction, emotional growth, physical development and creative expression.

Families and staff work together to ensure a strong and positive sense of self for each child. The staff creates a warm and nurturing environment where every child is valued as an individual. The emphasis on an anti-bias curriculum helps children explore similarities and differences, which broaden understanding and celebrate the richness of diversity. In addition to the general classroom experience, children may participate in special programs including music, science, recreational/instructional swim, and gymnastics. Child’s membership is required for nursery school program enrollment.

Classes, which all include a snack and song time, are age specific to provide a program that is developmentally appropriate for your child.
  Class sizes limited.
  Child's membership required.
Child's age as of Sept 1st.

Sample of our classes include:
> Little Explorers (16 - 24 mos. with adult)
Unique classes designed for the parent/caregiver and child to gradually separate from each other in a gentle, positive way.

> Child’s Play (12 - 30 mos. with adult)
While your child interacts with the teacher, you also have an opportunity to connect with adults. Our early childhood classroom provides opportunities for structured, spontaneous play through crafts, dramatic play area, sensory activities, and more.
