Summer Camps
We strive to create the perfect setting in which children can experience the best of summer camp: develop lasting friendships and memories, increase self esteem by meeting fun new challenges, learn and play in a nurturing, individualized, safe environment.
This year, we welcome a new Camp Funkist Director, Mr. Howard Kirschner. Mr. Kirschner joins us with over twelve years experience as Camp Director for the Rockland Center for the Arts, and over thirty-five years in elementary and secondary education. He is a great addition to the YWCA family and we are certain that you will enjoy his leadership. Please stop by to meet Mr. Kirschner at our Open House on February 2, 2008 from 10am to 3pm.
Kelly Zawacki will return as the Camp Funkist Assistant Director and KC Kent will serve as the Aquatics Director for camp. We are happy they remain part of our Camp Funkist team and will be working with you once again this summer!
Enclosed in this packet are important camp information and registration forms.
Complete the registration form (links at the right) and submit it, along with your $250.00 non-refundable deposit to the front desk (by mail or in person), no later than March 1st, 2008 to get the early-bird discount. Lock in all the FUNkist you need for the summer – no last minute worries about space availability AND reduce the cost by enrolling early!
The early bird registration process will save you $25 per session. If you sign up for all four sessions, you can save another $100, which will be credited to your account at session four. In total, you can save $200 on your child’s eight-week summer camp experience. Please remember that your child’s YWCA membership must be current through his/her entire camp enrollment.
